There is a new restaurant in Southern Pines called Clean Eatz, and in this case, the name really does say it all. Clean Eatz is about eating healthy foods and healthy meal planning. This is all about what foods you put into your system.
Owners Melody Cox and Kristian Kelly and their husbands have figured that out. They already have a store in Fayetteville, and it has been a huge success. They have so many people that drive from this area for their meal plans, so they decided this would be a great place for a second location. They have opened the Southern Pines restaurant in the Trident Marketing shopping center off of U.S. Highway 1. We stopped in to have a look around.
From the time you enter Clean Eatz, you feel energized. The colors they use are bright and cheery. There are inspirational quotes on the walls. You can’t help but feel inspired and energized. There is a large dining area for your comfort. The menu has a wonderful selection. (think cranberry chicken wrap and caramel latte smoothies). The prices are reasonable and there is even a kids menu. There are meals for everyone such as vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, diabetic, and bodybuilder. Whatever your nutritional needs are, they have it covered. A good portion of the menu is under 500 calories. Now let’s talk about meal planning.
This is not just a dine-in café. Each week there is a new menu that you can order prepackaged meals for the upcoming week. The menu is posted online on Thursdays, and you have until Saturday to place your order. The store is closed on Sundays while they hand prepare the prepackaged meals. Monday is pickup day for the meal plan. Each meal comes in a microwaveable container. Sign up for the meal plan, and each week you get the new menu emailed to you. Perfect for the busy soccer mom that needs a break from cooking or the person home recovering from an illness, or perhaps it can be a gift for a new mother whose plate is full.
Stop by Clean Eatz at 1930 N. Poplar Street and discover a whole new way to eat; clean, healthy, and just plain good. You won’t regret it.
