Fidelity Bank is expanding its operations and soon starting construction on a new building in Southern Pines. The bank is scheduled to open in 2020 at the former Bill Smith/Crossroads Ford Lincoln dealership on the corner of Belle Avenue and Old U.S. 1. The regional office is currently on 15-501 in Aberdeen and will relocate to the Southern Pines’ location.

The two-story, all brick building will be almost 7,000 square feet which will include ten offices, a conference room, three teller stations, three drive-thru lanes, and an ATM, according to Fidelity Bank’s website.

“Our business has grown so much that we need a larger facility to adequately support our success in establishing banking relationships with Moore County residents,” said Fidelity Bank Area Executive Jim Byrd. “Over the last six years, I have been searching for the ideal office site that is supportive of our expanding business lines, accessible, convenient and attractively designed with innovations that add value for our customers, community and staff.”

The staff will include Branch Development officers, Paula Crocker and David Hope, Branch Operation’s officer, Tonya Thomas, tellers, Carlene Reece, Dee Riley, Danielle Diede and customer service representative Theresa Veselsky.

“Moore County families and businesses have so many bank options today.  They come to Fidelity Bank because they seek sound financial advice about their borrowing needs, savings needs, retirement and investments. We deliver this personally and through digital channels such as our website and mobile app. Once open, I invite everyone to stop by for a tour of the facility and allow me to introduce our team,”  Byrd noted.

Fidelity Bank is headquartered in Fuquay-Varina.
