Firefighters save shed fire from spreading

A brush fire near Aberdeen turned into a structure fire.

Authorities said the brush fire got out of control and burned a residential shed shortly before 2 p.m. on Tuesday. Firefighters were able to put out the blaze before it consumed other structures on the property.

The fire occurred on Roseland Road, near the Sandpit Road intersection.

No one was injured.

Aberdeen Fire Chief Richardson warns everyone to be careful about brush fires and their proximity to houses and outbuildings.

Units with Aberdeen, Pinebluff, and Pinehurst fire departments responded to the scene.
