Moore County folks celebrated Independence Day with pride in their country’s 242nd birthday as the town of Aberdeen hosted their annual July Fourth festival.
Even a little rain didn’t dampen the festivities and tradition at Aberdeen Lake. Children could be seen jumping in bounce houses, climbing a rock wall, eating funnel cakes, and getting their faces painted with patriotic markings.
The evening closed with a bang as the town lit fireworks for bursts of color behind the reflective lake to everyone’s delight.
