In a partnership with the Pinehurst Resort and Country Club, the world’s largest maker of golf grips, Golf Pride, announced plans back in 2017 to build a new facility on the ground of Pinehurst No. 8 off Murdocksville Road in Pinehurst. Those plans are now coming closer to reality.

“We are on track with our original timeline. Over 700 yards of concrete have been poured thus far.  The largest pour was nearly 500 yards and took over 50 concrete trucks.” said Jared Kelowitz a spokesperson for Golf Pride. “The outside structure and ceiling are up for the largest part of the work space and we are rapidly advancing on our plan.”

Golf Pride plans to move to this new facility in early 2019.

“Golf Pride looked at several sites, but chose Pinehurst Resort because it was a great location and a great brand partnership as well.” Lisa Bertalot wrote in a press release. “The new facility, which will be located within the gates of No. 8, will give Golf Pride a great platform to test new product ideas with a steady stream of golfers visiting Pinehurst Resort from around the world.”

The new facility will feature a customer grip fitting studio, room for global management staff and an R&D lab for developing sample grips to test new concepts.
