Green’s Sanitation has been hard at work busting dirt, bacteria, and viruses across the Sandhills. Led by owner and operator Brian Hamilton, Green’s Sanitation sanitizes dumpsters and trash cans that may otherwise be home to harmful germs such as Salmonella, E. coli, Listeria, and more.

“Green’s Sanitation not only cleans but also sanitizes the inside and outside of each dumpster and pad area,” explained Brian. “Most importantly, we do this in a manner where we protect families and neighborhoods from the hazards of bacteria found in and around these dumpsters.”

To accomplish this level of sanitation, Green’s Sanitation uses a combination of disinfectant and water heated to a whopping 230 degrees. Specialized cleaning heads that rotate 360 degrees are then used to remove the festering bacteria, dirt, and filth from every crevice of trash cans and dumpsters alike.

Brian first broke into the world of sanitation in 2020. During the lockdown that accompanied the pandemic, Brian brainstormed a way he could offer Moore County a unique service that the community didn’t already have. Nearly two years later, his plan came to fruition with the arrival of his very own Green’s Sanitation truck, which was custom built in Miami, Florida.

Green’s Sanitation’s system is 100% environmentally friendly. “Our fully self-contained cleaning unit collects all the chemicals and wastewater to avoid urban runoff, causing no harm to the stormwater system or environment the way manual cleaning does,” Brian noted. “Our wastewater is then disposed of safely off site.”

This process adds an extra layer of sanitation to the service. By transporting the water to a treatment facility or to his own off site premises for disposal, the wastewater is not dumped back onto the client’s property where it could reinfect the area or cause damage to the property. After the cleaning, each bin is then deodorized by hand with a fresh, clean scent.

As a Pinehurst local, Brian is passionate about keeping Moore County clean. What started off as a quarantine dream has become Brian’s reality, and he hasn’t slowed down since receiving his truck earlier this year.

“I hope more people learn that this is an option,” said Brian. “It only takes hours for bacteria to multiply by the thousands, and it only takes one single touch to potentially become infected.”
