A man from Pinebluff is facing 16 charges after failing to stop when he was being pulled over by deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Department.
Forty-one-year-old Trandon Thomas was placed at the Moore County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond after being arrested on Wednesday.
“On July 20, 2022, Deputies with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop in the 1500 block of NC Highway 5 near Gaines Street in Aberdeen,” said Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a news release. “During the traffic stop, the vehicle failed to stop and deputies pursued the vehicle. Deputies were able to get the vehicle stopped in the 100 block of Batchelor Farm Road in Aberdeen. During the traffic stop, Deputies located heroin, cocaine, and items of drug paraphernalia.”
Thomas was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule I controlled substance, felony possession of schedule I controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling place for controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting a public officer, destruction of criminal evidence, felony flee to elude arrest, window tint violation, two counts of stop sign violation, driving left of center, improper pass, speeding, and reckless driving.
The suspect is due in court on Aug. 18 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
