A driver experiencing a medical emergency partially crashed their car into a lake in the Seven Lakes West community in West End on Sunday.

West End Fire and Rescue wrote on its Facebook page that its units, along with Seven Lakes Fire and Rescue, were paged to the crash near Longleaf Drive and Morris Drive at 5:45 p.m.

“First arriving crews found a passenger car that had gone though a gate and was partially submerged on the rocks along the waters edge of Lake Auman,” said West End Fire and Rescue.First arriving crews secured the vehicle, gained access to the patients and removed the patient from the vehicle and began rendering care until the arrival of EMS.”

The condition of the driver was not released.

North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Moore County EMS, and Moore County Sheriff’s Department were also on the scene.
