The 2025 Moore County Leadership Institute (MCLI) class has launched its “HOPE on Wheels” Fill the Bus Campaign to collect essential classroom supplies for preschool students at HOPE Academy in Robbins.
The MCLI has previously painted the bus and is now asking the community to virtually “fill it” by purchasing items from HOPE Academy’s wish list.
“Choose an item such as books, art materials, STEM kits, and more—and help us fill the virtual bus with love and learning,” encourages the MCLI in a written statement issued through the Moore County Chamber of Commerce. “Every donation, big or small, helps create a well-equipped, inspiring learning environment for these young students.”
HOPE Academy, operated by the Northern Moore Family Resource Center, serves children ages 2–5 in three full-day classrooms focused on early childhood development, family engagement, and kindergarten readiness.
By providing virtual options, including Amazon wishlists and QR codes, donors won’t feel the pressure of driving to pick up and drop off supplies.
“Together, we can make a lasting impact and ensure these children start the school year with the tools they need to thrive,” writes the MCLI. “We need your help to make it a success!”
