The Union Pines girls wrestling team won their first N.C. High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) 6A individual state championship in Greensboro on Friday, according to a NCHSAA press release.
The “Viqueens” won with 82 points.
NCHSAA announced MacKenzie Shaver as the Most Outstanding Wrestler.
The school congratulated the wrestlers on its Facebook page:
