Commissioners hear NC Department of Justice presentation

With the combination of the governor’s support to drop mask requirements, Moore County case metrics declining, the CDC looking to modify mask guidance in the coming days, and support of the health department, county offices will move from mask required to mask optional effective Feb. 21, said Moore County Department of Public Safety.

This change does not include county agencies/operations that are still required by either state or federal requirements to continue with mask-required policies.

“Everyone is encouraged to self-assess their risk-comfort in deciding for themselves when/where to wear a mask,” said Moore County Department of Public Safety. “At the same time, everyone should be respectful of those that choose to continue wearing a mask and the County will continue to make them available as we are currently.”
