Public Safety receives locally built disaster response trailer

Moore County Department of Public Safety received a new disaster response trailer on Thursday.

Jimmy Thompson, CEO of Southeastern Tool and Die in Aberdeen, completed the construction of the specialized trailer that will provide potable water, a generator, a light tower, and fuel during incidents and disasters.

The trailer will fully support the mobile kitchen, portable bathroom units and provide a fueling point for emergency responders’ apparatus during a disaster.

A Homeland Security Grant Program from North Carolina Emergency Management provided the funds for this trailer.

“Thanks to Southeastern Tool and Die for partnering with Moore County on the construction of this unit and saving thousands of dollars,” said Moore County Public Safety in a press release.
