A deadly motorcycle crash in Aberdeen Saturday has given others a second chance at life.

Dan Guyer, of Harnett County, was traveling on U.S. Highway 1 with three other motorcyclists when he crashed his motorcycle at the intersection of Bonnie Brook Road around 4:30 p.m.

Guyer was airlifted to UNC trauma center where he later died from his injuries.

Kelly Guyer said her husband “was an organ donor and already saved others’ lives on the day of his death.”

The single-vehicle accident shut down both lanes of U.S. 1 north for a period of time.

Kelly Guyer requested first responders involved at the scene to come forward, so she can thank them for helping her husband in his “final moments.”

Responding to the scene were Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, and Aberdeen Police.
