Anne Dykeman, a long-time resident of Seven Lakes, died on the 4th of March in her home.

Born in 1931 in Elizabeth City, NC, Anne graduated high school and worked at a furniture store where she met her future husband of 58 years, Art Dykeman, now deceased.

Anne loved cooking, socializing with friends, and spending time with family. She had a great sense of humor and a smile that could light up a room. She was an active member of St. Irenaeus Church in Michigan and honored for starting a youth group with the church. She was also a Girl Scout in her youth, becoming a scout leader when her daughters were young.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen Dykeman Kratz and husband Alan of Lillington, NC; Donna Sue Harrell of Lake Orion, MI; and two grandchildren, Nicolas Harrell and Emmaly Harrell.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to the National Audubon Society or American Cancer Society.

A memorial service will be held at Boles Funeral Home in Seven Lakes at 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 14, 2020, with a visitation from Noon to 1 pm before the service.
