Anthony Wayne Jones “Tony” passed away at the age 62 on June 5, 2021, 4:20 p.m. at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
A native of Moore County, he was the son of the late Mack Weldon Jones and Donna Savonne Moseley.
In his working career, he was employed by PowerBoss in Aberdeen, N.C. for over 25 years.
In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his sister, Charlene Phipps, of Aberdeen and his brother, Mack Weldon Jones Jr.
He is survived by his fiancé of 23 years, Clara Barber of the home. His extended family Candice and David Sanders and their children, Alecia Dunn, Bradley Sanders, Ashley Sanders, Brittney Sanders, and Tyler Sanders. Alecia’s husband, Cody Dunn, and their children, Nathan and Skylar Dunn.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM and at other times at the home of Candice Sanders.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist with final expenses.
