Obituary for Barbara Ann Deaton Campbell of Jackson Springs

Barbara Ann Deaton Campbell, 79, of Jackson Springs, NC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.

Barbara was born in Moore County, NC on June 20, 1942 to the late Virgil and Emily Sheffield Deaton.

Barbara was a long-time resident of West End and member of West End First Baptist Church.  She worked as a painter for Stanley Furniture for many years until they closed.  She loved to garden, sew, cook and can.  She married Charlie Ray Campbell in 1960, they were married 40 years until his passing in 2001.

She is survived by her daughter Elaine Needham, son Harold Campbell; grandchildren Tonya Salinis (Eric), Crystal Gail Needham, Felecia Caviness (Cliff), Charles Campbell (Kayla), and Michael Campbell; great-grandchildren Shelby Leigh, Alexander Leigh, Charlie Caviness, Cainen Campbell and Carter Campbell; sisters Rosa Yearby and Gail Wallace (Johnny).

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son Larry Dwight Campell; a great-granddaughter Nevaeh Campbell; sisters Lorene Mills, Colleen Ritter, Nancy Brady; and brothers Jessie Deaton, Verlin Deaton, Robert Deaton and Dale Deaton.

A visitation will be held from 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Boles Funeral Home, 221 MacDougall Drive, Seven Lakes, NC 27376.  A funeral service will begin at 2:00PM and burial will follow at West End Cemetery, 324 Knox Lane – Hwy 211, West End, NC 27376.
