Elmer Joseph Burgan (Retired Army, CW4), age 76, of Vass Woodlake, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020 at his home, with his wife by his side.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 2:00PM at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Joe was born in Baltimore, Maryland on August 29, 1943 to the late Elmer Joseph and Mary Louella Burgan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John G. Burgan. He served his country in the U.S. Army with over 23 years of service and served tours in Korea and Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn Burgan; children, Elmer Joseph Burgan of Oregon and Heidi Burgan Thomes (Chris) of Virginia; grandchildren, Cassidy, Katie, Abbie and Gracie.
