Helen Marie Brissette, 83, passed away June 23, 2018 peacefully at her home in Pinehurst, North Carolina after a short battle with cancer.
Helen was born in Brookfield, Illinois to Frank and Jarmila Karlovsky. She graduated from Lyons Township High School in Chicago. In 1959 she married Jack Brissette and moved to Australia where her twins were born. After raising the twins on the east coast, she went to work as a compensation analyst at Champion Paper. Helen and Jack retired to Pinehurst, North Carolina and traveled the world. After Jack passed away, Helen continued to travel with her friends and family. She was an avid golfer and reader, bridge player, volunteer with the garden club and enjoyed socializing with her friends. Helen will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Helen is survived by her twin sons: Andrew James Brissette (Cassie) and William John Brissette (Robin), 2 grandchildren Kristina Brissette and Alexander Brissette, and her 3 nephews Dennis Francis (Roya), Kevin Karlovsky and CJ Karlovsky. She is pre-deceased by her husband, Jack Brissette, sister Blossom Francis and brother Frank James Karlovsky, Jr.
A Funeral Mass will be held 11am, Tuesday, June 26th 2018 at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Pinehurst. Family will receive friends from 5 to7 pm on Monday, June 25th at the Boles Funeral Home in Pinehurst.
