Obituary for James Henry Horne Jr.

James (Jim) Henry Horne, Jr., 76, passed away April 23, 2021. He was born April 20, 1945 in Fayetteville, NC to James Henry Horne, Sr. & Malisha McLamb Horne. He worked at the Country Club of North Carolina (CCNC) for 27 years where he started as a bartender and worked his way up to club manager. Jim also worked as club manager for three other Country Clubs as well. Since being in Myrtle Beach, Mr. Horne has worked as a real estate agent.

Jim is survived by his three daughters, Katharine (Brian) Harsha, Amelia Wisor, & Jessica (Tommy) Carnucci; two brothers, John (Debbie) Horne of Carolina Beach, NC & Joseph (Joye) Horne of Columbia, SC; 8 grandchildren, Andrew Miller, Mathew Miller, Tyler Lawson, Brooklyn Lawson, Jacob Lawson, Charlie Carnucci, Nick Carnucci, & Cameron Carnucci; & a great grandson, Rivers Pillaro. Jim’s son, James Henry Horne, III, preceded him in death on June 26, 1999.

Jim has been an avid hunter, gun collector, and golfer, also having a passion for boating, motorcycles, and planes. He owned both a Piper Cherokee and a Beechcraft V-Tail Bonanza Model N35.

The family will be greeting friends on Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at McMillan-Small Funeral Home.
