Jessica Jean Morris, 21, of Vass, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024.
Born in Moore County, on April 8, 2003, Jessica was a graduate of Union Pines High School and currently enrolled at Sandhills Community College. She was a server at the Holly Inn in Pinehurst. She loved fishing with her uncle Scottie, enjoyed music and really had a passion for art as it was a way to express herself. Jessica was loved by everyone around her and will be missed dearly.
She was preceded in death by her brother: Layton “Tylor” Morris who passed away earlier in 2024.
Jessica is survived by: her mother Jennifer Pate; father Dewayne Morris and wife Gena; half brother Raymond Pate; step-sister Courtney Hobgood; step-brother Nathan Hobgood and wife Kandace; maternal grandmother Clara Pate; maternal grandfather Donnie Hutchins and wife Pam; paternal grandmother Joan Ragsdale and husband David; paternal grandfather Max Morris and wife Kay; paternal great-grandmother Veder Hurley; niece Lynleigh Allred.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 2 pm at Red Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Sammy Frye officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 pm in the church sanctuary as well as after the service at Jennifer’s house in Vass.
