Jimmy Howard Lytle, age 79, of Carthage, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022, at FirstHealth Hospice House, with family by his side.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Garner and Pastor Eugene Ussery officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 2 until 3. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Jimmy was born in Scotland County on October 13, 1942 to the late James Logan Lytle and Eva Whitaker Lytle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Lytle, sisters, Libby Hall, Louise Hennings, grandchildren, Emily Lytle, Tony Ryan, James Michael Lytle.
Jimmy lived a simple life. He enjoyed mowing the grass, plowing the garden with his old Farmall Tractor and sharing the vegetables he grew. He also enjoyed watching the grandkids and great-grandkids play and ride motorcycles. He loved to stop and eat the blueberries he raised they brought him great joy.
Jimmy loved and accepted Jesus as his savior. He loved his church and the many friends that he made there. He was loved by his family and friends and he will be greatly missed.
Jimmy is survived by his sons, Kenny Lytle and wife Tammie of Carthage, Tony Lytle and wife Samantha also of Carthage; grandchildren, Amy Ijames and husband Grant, Timothy Lytle and wife Kelly, Ashley Lytle; great-grandchildren, Leah, Riley , Maverick, Easton Beau; first wife, Nancy Taylor Brown.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church in Memory of Jimmy Howard Lytle.
