Kimberly Jo Salisbury, 58, of Southern Pines, NC passed away on September 15, 2025. Kim was born on April 2, 1967 to Roger Edward Salisbury and Lorna Mae (White) Salisbury.
Kim is survived by her children Rachel and Kai, her mother Lorna, siblings Darlene and Robert (Rebecca), Aunt Sonja, Uncle Benny, nieces, nephews and cousins . Kimberly was preceded in death by her father Roger, Uncle Bill, Aunt Barbara, Uncle Jerry and Aunt Louise, Uncle Neal.
She grew up traveling with her family. This nurtured into a love of travel, her favorite trips were to see family in Seattle and most recently, a trip to Alaska with her siblings. Even joining her kids to various events in Pennsylvania and Florida.
She pursued a career as a Speech Language Pathologist. Influenced into the career as a family member experienced difficulties of their own. She enjoyed many years with the Moore County School system in aiding many children with their speech and pronunciation of difficult sounds.
Kim enjoyed music. If she was in control of the radio, the speakers were filled with Queen, Prince, or Stevie Nicks. She had a deep love of animals. Her favorite animal, sloths, she had the opportunity to feed one on one of her many trips to Pennsylvania. A dream of hers was to be able to care for elderly dogs and spoil them in their final days.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 10am at Boles Funeral Home, Southern Pines. Family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, please in Kim’s memory enjoy friends, family, and rescues. Take that family vacation/spend time with family, meet up with long lost friends, donate to an animal rescue.
