LaVerne Carolyn Shelton, 93, of Whispering Pines and formerly Chicago, passed away at her home on April 22nd.
Born in Grand Traverse County, Michigan on July 2, 1924, she was the daughter of the late John and Beatrice (Peck) Conant. LaVerne was the wife of the late Walter John Shelton, Jr. She is predeceased by her son Walter John “Butch” Shelton, III, sisters; Laura and Lorraine Conant and son-in-law Keith Ramsey. LaVerne is survived by her daughter Joel Marie Ramsey and granddaughter Stacey Marie.
