Two Moore County Probation Officers was involved in a shooting with a suspect in Robbins. There were no injuries involved in the shooting.
The shooting took place at a mobile home off of Spies Road in Robbins around 2:15 p.m. The probation officers from the State Department of Public Safety called for assistance, and multiple law enforcement officers responded to the scene. EMS was called as a precaution, and the EMS units staged at a nearby location in case medical care was required.
The probation officers did have the suspect in custody by the time additional units arrived on the scene to assist. According to Moore County Sheriff Chief Deputy Frank Rodriguez, the Sheriff’s Department is investigating the shooting.
The Sheriff’s Department will investigate the assault (shooting) by the suspect, and the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) will investigate the use of force by the probation office. This is standard procedure in cases such as this.
