This December, The Green at The Village Chapel will once again sparkle with festive lights and community spirit as Partners for Children & Families presents its 2025 Illuminated Holiday Garden, a glowing tribute to the educators who illuminate lives across Moore County.
Now celebrating over 30 years of service, Partners for Children & Families continues its mission to help local children and families thrive. “Educators truly light the path for our community,” said Julia Latham, Development Director for Partners for Children & Families. “The holiday season is a wonderful opportunity to honor a teacher who has made a lasting difference.”
Community members are invited to dedicate a flower in the garden to a special educator with a suggested minimum donation of $20, supporting the nonprofit’s early childhood and family programs. Honorees may include anyone who inspires learning from preschool teachers and professors to coaches, mentors, music instructors, childcare providers, and faith-based educators.
Each recognized educator will receive a personal message of appreciation and be listed in the Holiday Honor Roll of Educators, to be published during Christmas Week.
The Illuminated Holiday Garden is open to all and free to visit. The display will light up The Green at The Village Chapel, 10 Azalea Road in Pinehurst, from December 1, 2025, through January 3, 2026. For those outside Moore County, photos of the garden and the Honor Roll will also be shared on Partners for Children & Families’ social media channels.
This year’s holiday garden is made possible through the generous support of The Village Chapel, First Capital Bank’s Pinehurst Branch, the Golf Capital Chorus, the Emmanuel Episcopal Thrift Shop (celebrating educators at the Episcopal Day School), and Lin Hutaff’s Pinehurst Realty Group (honoring educators at Pinehurst Elementary School and West Pine Elementary School).Â
“It’s a privilege to support those who dedicate their lives to helping children grow,” said Jeremy Johnson, Market President and Senior Vice President at First Capital Bank. “Educators are the heartbeat of our community.”
Building the garden this year will be a collaborative effort between Partners for Children & Families’ staff and members of the Pinehurst High School Interact Club. “We are so grateful for their energy and enthusiasm,” added Latham. “There’s something truly special about seeing students dedicating their time to honor their teachers and create something beautiful for their community.”
