The police car suffered extensive front end damage. The truck’s front bumper was partially knocked off.
There were no injuries reported. It took emergency crews over an hour to clear the scene.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
This is the second incident on U.S. Highway 1 in a week that Sandhills Sentinel has reported.
