Pinebluff crews respond to vehicle fire

A vehicle sustained heavy damage Saturday afternoon after an engine fire broke out in Pinebluff. 

According to Pinebluff Fire and Rescue, units were requested to a car fire at the intersection of Currant Street and Addor Road. Upon arriving, crews shut down the roadway and immediately began working to extinguish the flames.

Occupants safely exited the vehicle before crews arrived, and no injuries were reported.

Firefighters brought the fire under control quickly and contained the damage to the engine compartment. The vehicle, however, sustained extensive damage. The engine was blackened and parts of the vehicle’s body warped and melted from the heat.

Crews remained on scene to ensure the flames were fully extinguished and the area was safe before the vehicle was removed and the roadway reopened.
