The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was organizing a series of town hall meetings for poor and disadvantaged people before he was assassinated. The Moore County NAACP and the Congregational Church of Pinehurst are joining forces to continue Rev. King’s project.
The Poor People’s Campaign event is being held from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m on Sunday, January 28th at the church located at 895 Linden Road.
This event is a free community event.
The town hall meeting is hosted by Repairers of the Breach, Poor People’s Campaign, Congregational Church of Pinehurst, UCC, and Moore County NAACP.
