In record-breaking heat, protesters encircled the Historic Courthouse in Carthage on Saturday, April 5, to protest policies from the new White House Administration.
Across the nation and in Carthage, protesters chanted “Hands Off” as they held up signs with slogans against President Trump’s social and economic policies and billionaire Elon Musk.

Over 200 people protested in Carthage in the unusually high 87-degree heat, with a handful of opposition.
Indivisible of Moore County, a “group of like-minded individuals promoting a progressive and inclusive agenda,” according to its Facebook page, led the protest with Co-Chair Linda Hoover.

The protest began at 1 p.m. and lasted about two hours.
