A Southern Pines man is being charged with multiple offenses involving minors, according to the Southern Pines Police Department.
Joshua Rayman, 37, of Southern Pines, was arrested and is facing charges of statutory sexual offense with a child, second-degree forcible sex offense, two counts of sexual battery, and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Police said that on Oct. 8, they received a report that Rayman had reportedly provided alcohol and illegal drugs to underage females before allegedly sexually assaulting at least one victim. Investigators later identified additional offenses allegedly committed by Rayman.
Rayman appeared before a Moore County magistrate on Oct. 16 and was booked into the Moore County Detention Center without bond.
The Southern Pines Police Department thanked the Moore County District Attorney’s Office, the Moore County Sheriff’s Office, the Moore County Department of Social Services, and the Child Advocacy Center of North Carolina for their assistance in the investigation.

All suspects and persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
