A suspect is at large after killing two women outside of a Lumberton store Friday, according to the Lumberton Police Department.
The women were shot and killed just before 5 p.m. in the parking lot of Family Dollar Store located on East 5th Street.
“The suspect is described as a male wearing a hoodie who fired into multiple vehicles that were backing out of parking spaces,” said Lumberton Police Department.
The victims have been identified as Kayla Kyle, 32, of Meadow Road, Lumberton, and Kimberly Hunt, 41, of an unknown address.
An “anonymous group of individuals” is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the double murder suspect.

“We know someone has the information to assist the Lumberton Police Department with this investigation, and I am thankful the representative of the anonymous group came forth and is able to do this,” said Robeson County Sheriff Wilkins. “The cowardly actions of this person to shoot and kill innocent women even with children in the car is unconscionable.”
