Southern Pines Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that took place Friday around 6:30 a.m. at the Quality Mart, located on Old U.S. Highway 1.
After the investigation, the department now has an outstanding warrant for Jesse Lee Goldston, 51, for robbery with a dangerous weapon, said Southern Pines Police Department in a news release.
The Quality Mart cashier was robbed at knife point as cash was removed from the register. To view surveillance video, please click here.
“Jesse Lee Goldston has an extensive criminal history to include two prior habitual felon convictions as well as multiple robbery convictions,” said Southern Pines Police Department. “If observed, do not approach Jesse Lee Goldston as he is considered armed and dangerous.”
Goldston is described as 5’9 and weighing 270 pounds.
The suspect has multiple tattoos which includes “soup” on his left hand, a polar bear on left arm, right arm has a heart with “mom”, playboy bunny on his chest, a ghost/teddy bear on chest, “HAFIZ” on stomach, and on his left arm face/heart/mom.
