T-bone collision sends one to hospital

A T-bone collision in Aberdeen left one man injured and transported to the hospital Saturday. The wreck occurred at the U.S. 1 and 15-501 intersection just after 9 a.m. Over the years, this intersection has been the site of numerous car crashes.

According to authorities, a Surburan SUV collided with a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck on the passenger side, spinning the truck around and stopping in the Cigar Shop parking lot.

T-bone crash sends one to hospital

The male driver of the Tacoma was injured and had to be removed from the vehicle by firefighters. He was transported to the hospital by EMS. EMS evaluated one person from the Suburban. It is unknown if they were transported to the hospital.

Aberdeen Police are investigating the cause of the crash, but it is believed that one of the drivers failed to stop for a red light.
