A woman was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop in Cameron on Feb. 5, according to a news advisory from Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields.

Deputies pulled over a vehicle in the 4200 block of Cypress Church Road. The passenger had an outstanding arrest warrant out on her.

“Deputies also found the passenger of the vehicle to be in possession of heroin, methamphetamine, and items of drug paraphernalia,” said Fields.

Morgan Powell, 28, of Dunn, was charged with felony possession of schedule I controlled substance, felony possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also served with an outstanding warrant for arrest for possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

Bond was set at $5,500.

Powell has a March 17 court date and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
