A woman is behind bars facing several charges after being arrested for shootings in Carthage.
Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields announced the arrest Tuesday.
On Memorial Day, the sheriff’s department “received reports of shootings that occurred at two separate locations in the Carthage area.” Sheriff Fields said in a statement that “a vehicle was struck multiple times.”
Brittany Emani Saxon, 28, of Carthage, was arrested the same day.
The suspect was charged with four counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and four counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied property.
Saxon’s bond was set at $150,000.
Saxon was recently arrested in March for another shooting.
That shooting took place at Lamms Grove Road and Carolina Lakes Road.
Authorities arrived on scene and “found that a residence was struck by gunfire during the course of the shooting.”
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
