Woman charged with arson, bond set at $175,000

On Thursday, June 29, the Moore County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a suspected arson in Eagle Springs. As a result, a woman was arrested for allegedly committing first-degree arson.

With the assistance of the Moore County Fire Marshal’s Office, sheriff’s investigators arrested Lisa Russell, 59, of Eagle Springs, said Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields in a news statement.

Russell was jailed at the detention center under a $175,000 secured bond.

She is also facing charges of setting fire to woods, lands, fields, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Russell is due in court on July 12 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
