The Moore County 4-H Performing Arts Club (PAC) is looking for new members age 10-18 to be a part of their fall performance of “War Stories Told Through Generations.” The presentation will be held on December 7th (Pearl Harbor Day) at 6 p.m. at Vass United Methodist Church.
While engaging in each members talent and strengths, students will have the opportunity to improve their story telling and public speaking abilities. Members will be retelling war stories either with a personal reflection of their families stories or other stories during any American war time that have affected or have interested members.
Stories may be told through monologues, skits, by playing an instrument, singing a song or dance depending on the interests of the member.
Potential members who would like to join the club and be a part of the performance, must attend the first meeting on September 21 at 6:30 p.m. at Vass United Methodist Church.
This club was ignited by a summer program offered by Moore County 4-H in 2017 where campers worked on a short play. The campers enjoyed it so much they wanted to start a year- round club.
The Club’s main purpose is to learn and grow in arts related activities in Moore County while keeping with the 4-H motto, “To Make the Best Better”.
Formed in 2018, The Moore County 4-H Performing Arts Club (PAC) meets on Fridays at Vass United Methodist Church. For information about the Moore PAC, please contact Ashley Baker at 910-691-2810 or email [email protected].
