William James St. Onge, Sr. “Bill” passed on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at his residence in Saltville, Virginia.
Bill was born July 6, 1937 in Ishperrming, MI to the late Joseph Albert St. Onge and Concetta (Corolla) St. Onge. Bill grew up in Richmond, VA later enlisting in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. After leaving the Army, he sold auto parts and later owned and operated B&S Auto Supply in Aberdeen. Bill was a member of the Aberdeen American Legion Post 72 and The Roman Eagle Masonic Lodge 550 in Aberdeen where he served as Past Master. Later is life he enjoyed passing time by playing bingo in Saltville, VA.
He was preceded in death by a wife, Susan (Medlin) St. Onge in 1994; Also preceding him in death was a son, William (Bill) St. Onge, Jr.; two brothers, Albert D. St. Onge and Richard ‘Dickey” St. Onge; a sister Helen Thompson.
He is survived by daughters, Anna St. Onge, Catherine “Cathy” St. Onge Donnelly, and Tammy Jo St. Onge Gough. Sons, Kenneth “Kenny” St. Onge and Michael A. St. Onge; two sisters, Jean Floyd and Judy Fleeman; also surviving are several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Deep Creek Baptist Church on Linden Rd, in Aberdeen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
