Family unharmed in Robbins rollover

A rollover crash was reported just before 3 p.m. Thursday on N.C. Highway 24/27 outside Robbins. The vehicle carried six occupants—a woman and five children—who were unharmed.

Authorities on scene told Sandhills Sentinel that a Honda Pilot was traveling west on N.C. Highway 24/27 when the driver veered off the road, struck a boulder, then fishtailed and rolled twice before coming to rest against a hill beside the roadway.

Airbags deployed during the crash, and the vehicle sustained extensive damage to the front passenger side and underside.

The vehicle sustained damage when it rolled.

Traffic was diverted around the crash and first responders worked for over an hour to clear the scene of debris and the vehicle.

Authorities on the scene said the cause of the wreck is still under investigation.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol and Moore County EMS responded.
