One person went to the hospital after flipping their Jeep while trying to avoid an animal. The single-vehicle crash occurred on Plank Road in Robbins on Saturday, just before 6 p.m.
First responders found a Jeep Compass on its roof on the side of the road near the Cockman Road intersection.
Authorities say the male driver was traveling southeast on Plank Road when he allegedly tried to avoid an animal and lost control of the vehicle.
The driver was taken to Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst for evaluation. The vehicle’s airbags deployed, and the windshield and windows were shattered.
Robbins Fire Department, Moore County EMS, and N.C. State Highway Patrol responded to the scene to assist the patient and clear the road.
