Local baker Jamie Jamerson is excited to announce the latest addition to Vass’ expanding eatery scene with the opening of her new bakery, Amazing Glaze Bakery & Pastry. The shop aims to offer baked goods, sweet treats, and homemade delicacies to satiate the sweet tooth of the Sandhills.
Jamie is glad to be moving forward with the opening of Amazing Glaze, anticipating that the bakery will be open for business on Jan. 4.
Jamie found her inspiration to open Amazing Glaze after a lifelong love of baking, having garnered years of prior experience. “I have always wanted to have my own business, and I love to bake, and that’s why I opened the bakery,” Jamie noted.
The bakery has been in the works for over six months now. Behind the brown paper in the shop windows, the Amazing Glaze team has been hard at work prepping the bakery for opening.
“I chose Vass as my location because there were so many people saying that they wanted somewhere to buy homemade sweets,” explained Jamie, who is local to Moore County. “I am most looking forward to opening and getting to know the Vass locals and new people.”
Thus far, community input has been nothing short of positive, with an outpour of support on online forums as the excitement for a local bakery in Vass grows.
As it stands, Amazing Glaze will be serving up an assortment of cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, cookies, doughnuts, pies, and holiday specials. Jamie’s specialty and favorite thing to bake is cupcakes, which will be one of the feature items on the shop’s menu.
When asked if she had any recommendations for potential shoppers, Jamie answered honestly and confidently, stating,” I don’t have a special item because they are all so good; I say get one of each!”
Amazing Glaze is located at 128 Main St. in Vass, centrally situated between Family Dollar and Piggly Wiggly.
