An Amazon delivery van erupted in flames at Robbins Elementary School on Monday afternoon, destroying the van and its contents. By the time firefighters arrived, the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. There were no injuries, but the van and the packages inside were completely destroyed.
It didn’t take firefighters from Robbins Fire and Rescue long to knock down the blaze. Robbins Elementary suffered no damage; the fire was in the empty back parking lot.
It’s unclear how many deliveries were impacted, but customers may experience delays.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
