Argument leads to crash

A man was taken to the hospital after an argument led to a crash Sunday evening.

According to investigators, a man and woman were traveling in a Chevy Equinox on Patton Road in West End. The two were arguing when the driver approached a sharp curve too fast and went off the right side of the road into some trees.

Both occupants were able to get out of the Equinox before first responders arrived. The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Responding to the crash were West End Fire and Rescue, Moore County EMS, Moore County Sheriff’s Department and North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
