Celebrate the sunrise’s 82nd birthday with a free outdoor movie - Sept. 25

The Sunrise’s annual concert series continues this October, this time featuring the incredibly talented Ashes and Arrows. Fresh off the semifinals of America’s Got Talent, Ashes and Arrows will be performing at the free community block party.

Ashes and Arrows, a dynamic country/rock band born from the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, and alps of Arrowtown, New Zealand, is making waves with their captivating blend of strong harmonies, poignant lyrics, and infectious on-stage presence. Their musical journey began at an open mic night in downtown Asheville in 2021, where their individual music paths converged.

United by a shared passion for music, Ciaran McMeeken, Benjamin Voigt, and Jonathan Calhoun rediscovered the joy of performing and together found their collective voice.

First Friday begins at 5:00 p.m. on October 4, ending at 9:00 p.m. Drink ticket sales end at 8:30 p.m. Outdoor drink sales end at 8:45 p.m. Indoor concessions end at 9:00 PM.  Admission, as always, is free, thanks in part to long-time sponsors, Carolina Summit Group and Realty World.

Per Sunrise Theater: “Bringing your own chair is encouraged. Please leave your dogs at home. No outside alcohol.”
