Burney Hardware is adding a new store in Seven Lakes.  The new store, located at 270 N. Trade Street, is scheduled to open in January.

Sam Ransdell, owner and operator of the Seven Lakes Burney Hardware, recently was the guest speaker at Seven Lakes Kiwanis Club.  Ransdell gave a presentation of the history of Burney Hardware, why they chose Seven Lakes for the new location, and what type of merchandise the store will include.

The new store will carry more merchandise than the Aberdeen store.  The hardware store will have plants and the Coronado line of Benjamin Moore paint as well as the Stihl power equipment, rental tools, and propane filling that is offered at the Aberdeen store.

The Ransdell family has owned Aberdeen’s Burney Hardware since 1982, and Sam grew up in the store.

“I am glad we are expanding to the Seven Lakes area,” Ransdell told the Kiwanians.

The Kiwanis Club of Seven Lakes meets each Tuesday at 12:00 Noon (11:30 am optional lunch) in the Chapel of the Pines Fellowship Hall in Seven Lakes.  Everyone is welcome to join them. Visit their website www.kiwanisclubofsevenlakes.org for upcoming meetings and events.
