A man from Cameron is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a statement issued to Sandhills Sentinel from Moore County Sheriff’s Department.
“On May 7th, 2024 detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop at U.S. Highway 1 at Main Street in Vass, North Carolina,” said Sheriff Ronnie Fields. “Detectives subsequently located and seized (suspected) methamphetamine and items of drug paraphernalia. Â Â
Thomas Dean, 62, was committed to the Moore County Detention Center under a 48-hour hold and is scheduled to appear in Moore County district court on May 9 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.Â
