Two vehicles were involved in an accident on Midland Road off the Southern Pines exit of the traffic circle Wednesday around 3 p.m.
A Mustang sustained damage to the passenger side along with significant damage to the vehicle’s front end, and a Nissan Kicks flipped on its driver’s side.
Crews with the Pinehurst fire and police departments worked to clear the road and investigate the cause of the wreckage. It is unclear at this time if any injuries occurred.
One traffic lane was closed until tow trucks arrived to clear both vehicles from the scene. Normal traffic flow on Midland Road resumed at approximately 4 p.m.
