A construction worker was airlifted to a hospital after being injured on the job in Pinehurst Monday morning.
The person fell from a roof at Pinewild Country Club, according to firefighters on the scene.
The worker fell approximately 12 feet and complained of severe back pain.
A landing zone was set up by first responders on a Pinewild golf course.
Moore County EMS transported the worker to the golf course.
UNC Carolina Air Care arrived a short time later to fly the patient to an area trauma center.
