Moore County deputies seized 48 grams of crack cocaine on Aug. 10 during a drug investigation in Cameron.
Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields reported the investigation was conducted in the 1500 block of N.C. Highway 24/27.
Richard Johnson, 42, of Cameron, is facing charges of sell and deliver cocaine, trafficking in cocaine by possession, trafficking in cocaine by transporting, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling, or place to keep a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The suspect was placed at the Moore County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond. He is expected in court on Sept. 2 and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
