China Garden Buffet to serve traditional Thanksgiving spread

Residents looking for a holiday meal without the preparation or cleanup have a local option this Thanksgiving. China Garden Buffet will open its doors on Nov. 27 to serve a festive spread combining American classics with its standard menu.

Ben Tung and Winnie Lin, the brother-sister owners of China Garden Buffet, told Sandhills Sentinel that this is the 26th year the restaurant has been serving the community, and their fourth year providing a Thanksgiving spread.

While the buffet features Asian cuisine specialties year-round, the kitchen will add traditional holiday staples for the occasion. The menu includes roast turkey, mashed potatoes, candied yams, corn, yeast rolls, and pumpkin pie.

The restaurant plans to operate from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day to accommodate all work and family schedules.

The Lins want to ensure everyone has a place to eat during the holiday, including military personnel stationed away from family and other solo celebrants.

One of the best parts? No reservations or advance orders are necessary, and the restaurant welcomes walk-in customers throughout the day.

China Garden Buffet is located at 1505 N Sandhills Blvd in Aberdeen.
